Vero Casanova

• When

Murano Glass Museum

• Concept

The exhibition “Vero Casanova” pays homage to one of the most fascinating and complex figures of 18th-century Venice through an immersive journey centered around eleven glass works and installations by Murano masters. Each creation interprets different aspects of Casanova’s personality, highlighting his contradictions, passions, and intelligence, in constant dialogue with the spirit of his time. Far from a chronological or stereotypical narrative, the exhibition invites us to rediscover the adventurer, while also portraying a vibrant, cultured, and ever-changing Venice.
Part of The Venice Glass Week 2025, “Vero Casanova” is part of the official initiatives celebrating the 300th anniversary of Giacomo Casanova’s birth, promoted by the City of Venice.

Glass Bateo

• When

• Concept

“Glass Bateo” (“bateo” is the venetian name for the public transportation boat) has been the first exhibition-event held inside a vaporetto and entirely dedicated to celebrating the artistic glass of Murano.
The project, unique in its kind, has been promoted by Consorzio Promovetro Murano as part of the initiatives for “The Venice Glass Week 2024” and was curated by the start-up rehub with the artistic direction of the architect Matteo Silverio.
For the occasion, the interiors of the boat have been completely redecorated with Murano glass, becoming an art installation themselves

The Murano Glass: a Journey into Tradition

Palazzo Corner Mocenigo, Sede Comando Regionale Guardia di Finanza, Venice

• Concept

This exhibition aims to guide the visitor through the world of artistic glass, from its origins to the present day. Over 50 works are on display, all made with Murano glass, representing, in part, the varied production of the island. The exhibition is accompanied by infographics summarizing the history of Murano glass and its evolution.

Murano: upcycling glass

• When

from the 7th September 2023 to the 28th April 2024

Murano Glass Museum

• Concept

The objective of this project is to spread the importance of recycling and how this, in certain cases, enhances waste from an up-cycling perspective. The Murano glass masters have committed themselves to recreating a domestic environment made with recycled, monochrome, transparent and colorless glass works.

Murano Glass Museum

• Concept

Interactive exhibition that brings together from the most traditional games, such as a little horse or a music box, to the most modern ones, such as a 2 meter high rocket and the track for remote-controlled toy cars, which runs for 37 metres, made entirely of Murano glass.

MURANO GLASS STREET ART

• When

From the 7th to the 15th September 2019.

Areas inside the Effetre Furnace in Murano.

• Concept

Collaboration between Murano companies and internationally renowned street artists.

An opportunity for comparison and contamination between two different artistic realities capable of communicating and creating new forms of art.

14 companies and 8 artists involved, over 2.000 visitors.

GLASS ARCHIPELAGO

• When

From ther 9th to the 16th Sempember 2018.

Palazzo Querini, Venice.

• Concept

Multimedia installation capable of communicating the tradition of Murano artistic glass in a completely innovative way. The exhibition is representative of the variety of Murano production: a suspended structure, inspired by the topography of Murano and animated by multimedia devices.

Murano Glass Beyond the Barricades

• Concept

Master glassmakers reinterpret Jersey barriers, transforming them into works of art rich in meaning, culture and beauty, capable of expressing freedom, art and life by overcoming any physical or mental barrier.
