BERENGO STUDIO 1989 SRL

Berengo Studio, established in 1989 by Adriano Berengo, has been dedicated to bridging the gap between international contemporary artists and the world of glass. Since its inception, the studio’s goal has been to facilitate collaborations between artists and master glassmakers, enabling the translation of artistic research into the three-dimensional language of glass paste. The cultural mission of Berengo Studio strives to liberate glass from its conventional function and predominant decorative role in the Murano tradition, transforming it into a dynamic material for contemporary works of art.

Over the course of approximately twenty years, more than 200 international artists have participated in the Berengo furnace, contributing to the realization of this ambitious cultural project. Today, Berengo Studio boasts a global presence with numerous collectors worldwide, over 11,000 international contacts, and a network of four galleries located in Venice, Murano, and Tokyo. In 2001, the studio acquired an old furnace from the early twentieth century in Murano, which, although disused, was intended for transformation into an exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art glass.

Berengo Studio has organized numerous solo and group exhibitions to promote artists and their work, collaborating with significant international cultural institutions in the process.
