Consorzio Promovetro di Murano was founded in 1985. Over the years it has become an important consortium, so much so that it counts among its members the two main trade associations in the glass sector, Confartigianato Venezia and Unindustria Venezia, and currently represents over 40 artisan and Murano industrialists.
