Murano Glass Street Art

Murano Glass Street Art was a project by the Promovetro Murano Consortium presented on the occasion of the third edition of The Venice Glass Week scheduled from 7 to 15 September 2019, an unprecedented collaboration in the name of creativity and color that sees the world interact and contaminate each other of artistic craftsmanship and Street Art.

The Masters of 14 glass companies and eight internationally renowned street artists have redesigned the interiors of the historic Effetre Murano furnace, creating some large murals with Airlite, a special technology capable of purifying the air. In parallel, the glass masters developed unique pieces together with the street artists starting from the representative patterns of the artists involved in the project.

The initiative was promoted by the Consorzio Promovetro Murano with the support of the Veneto Region and the Chamber of Commerce of Venice and Rovigo and personally involved the masters of 14 companies concessionaires of theVetro Artistico® Murano Barbini Specchi Veneziani, Effetre Murano, La Perla Veneziana, NicolaMoretti, Simone Cenedese Murano, Massimiliano Schiavon Art Team, Ercole Moretti, Zanetti Murano, Vetreria Tiozzo, La Fornasotta, Costantini Glass Beads, Gambaro&Tagliapietra, Wave Murano Glass, Vetrate Artistiche Murano and the street artists Alessio-b, Cento, Joys, Made514, Tony Gallo, Orion, Zero Mentale and Vesod, coordinated by the Paduan gallerist Carlo Silvestrin.
