Restoration Service
Through its network of consortium companies, the Consorzio Promovetro offers a restoration, replacement or refurbishment service for damaged glass parts or elements (for example elements of chandeliers, but also objects and costume jewellery). The greatest difficulty with this type of recovery lies in the uniqueness of the pieces made in Murano, often created on molds that no longer exist, or with chromatic variations that are difficult to replicate.
We understand the value, often also emotional, of chandeliers and other works in Murano glass, which is why, with the help of the associated companies, we always try to find a solution.
For each request, a feasibility study will be carried out, and a cost estimate will be sent, in order to proceed with the reconstruction or restoration of the damaged glass works.

The Chandelier of Sant’Agostino
Following the earthquake that hit Emilia-Romagna, the building of the Municipality of Sant’Agostino suffered extensive damage and was evacuated.
Inside the main room the extraordinary and historic Murano glass chandelier remained hanging, miraculously safe but in need of restoration. At this point, the joint effort of all the authorities and the Promovetro Consortium begin a difficult mission, that of saving the chandelier, restoring it and bringing it back to Emilia Romagna.
